Meghan Sutton Clay is a collection of handmade, playful pottery for the table and home. All work is nature inspired with a modern flair.
Meghan grew up in rural northeastern Pennsylvania. Encouraged by her family, she studied Fine Arts at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania settling in painting. During her last semester, she filled a space in her schedule with Intro to Ceramics and immediately felt a strong connection to the medium. It seemed to come second nature and she spent her semester spinning out gifts for family and friends.
Knowing she wanted to continue this clay journey after college, Meghan was fortunate enough to find herself at the GoggleWorks Center for the Arts in Reading PA working as a studio tech in the ceramic studio a couple days a week. The next three years were spent learning and absorbing everything clay.
While taking some time away from clay, Meghan moved to the mountains in Lake Tahoe CA and married her high school-best friend, Jesse. The two of them moved back to the east coast with their dog and are settled just outside of Manhattan.
Back in clay and committed to her craft more than ever, Meghan is currently working at Yonkers Pottery Studio in Westchester County NY. There she can be found loading kilns, mixing glazes and deep in clay growing her pottery business.
